FAQs
Aerial Drone Farming FAQs
Customer Questions
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of Kentucky.
Why would I want to use a drone instead of a large aircraft like a helicopter or crop duster?
Drones give you the precision you need to ensure your application goes where you need it to. A Harvest Aerial Solutions aircraft can fit into the smallest fields, the tightest corners, and work steep fields with no slope limits. Obstacles are no issue for our aircraft and if you have sensitive areas our aircraft can ensure they stay safe.
Why would I want to use a drone instead of ground equipment?
Ground equipment is expensive and large. Ground equipment also compacts the soil and can damage crops or fields. Ground equipment can also be limited if the soil is too wet to move ground equipment onto a field. Drones are compact enough to not damage fields or terrain, and when used as a service, they provide a more economical and efficient way to help achieve the results you need.
What can you apply?
Anything legally approved for aerial application, including seeds, insecticides, herbicides, algicides, fungicides, and more. If you need it done and it can be done legally we can help.
Which products do you use?
We apply the product you buy. That allows you, as the owner, to make the decisions you need to ensure your product is worked in accordance with your Integrated Pest Management plan.
How much do your services cost?
It depends. We have different rates for each of our services, and we provide multiple discounts for booking early, higher acreage, group bookings, and follow-on prescheduled work. Email or call for a consultation and quote.
What other services do you provide beyond application?
We provide high-quality/high-definition imaging in the visible light spectrum, infrared, and multispectral imaging. All of these capabilities can also be matched to a 3D map of your desired imaged area.
What does multispectral imaging provide?
Multispectral imaging is helpful in determining if and where you have crop damage before it is visible to the naked eye. The sensor will show if a crop is beginning to fail and will help to guide you to the location you need to identify a pest so you can treat it before the pest reaches your economic injury threshold.
